3. Information That Is Processed Temporarily
When you paste a TikTok link and click download, our server temporarily handles the link to fetch the media. This processing happens in memory and is not written to a database or persistent log. Once the file has been streamed to your device, no record of the transaction is kept on our servers.
4. Local Storage (Your Browser)
TakeFrom stores the following data locally in your own browser only:
- Recent links history — up to 5 recently-pasted TikTok URLs, stored in
localStorageso you can re-fetch them quickly. This data never leaves your device. - Theme preference — light or dark mode setting, stored in
localStorage. - Language preference — your selected interface language, stored in
localStorage.
You can clear this data at any time by using your browser's "Clear browsing data" feature or by clicking "Clear all" in the Recent Links section on the homepage.
5. Cookies
TakeFrom does not set any first-party cookies for tracking or analytics. If you have Google AdSense ads enabled on this site, Google may set third-party cookies for advertising personalisation. You can opt out of personalised ads at Google Ads Settings.
6. Third-Party Services
To fetch TikTok media, TakeFrom connects to third-party TikTok-compatible APIs (such as tikget.tech and tikwm.com) on your behalf. These services receive only the TikTok URL you submitted. We do not share any personal information with these services because we do not collect any.
