DMCA Policy

Last updated: August 2025

Important note: TakeFrom does not host, store, or cache any TikTok videos, photos, or audio files on its servers. Media is streamed directly from TikTok's own CDN infrastructure to users' devices. TakeFrom acts as a pass-through proxy for publicly accessible content only.

1. Our Approach to Copyright

TakeFrom respects intellectual property rights and expects users of our Service to do the same. We take copyright complaints seriously and respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Our Service is designed solely to facilitate access to publicly available TikTok content. We do not index, store, or serve any content ourselves — all media is retrieved in real time from TikTok's own systems and is never saved to our infrastructure.

2. Notice of Copyright Infringement

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and you believe that content accessible through TakeFrom infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA notice to our Designated Agent. A valid DMCA notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works;
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity — please include the specific TikTok URL(s) involved, as TakeFrom does not host content;
  4. Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  6. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Designated DMCA Agent

Send DMCA notices to:

dmca@takefrom.net

Please include "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. We aim to respond to valid DMCA notices within 5 business days.

3. Our Response to Valid Notices

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will:

  • Review the notice to confirm it meets the legal requirements;
  • Take appropriate action, which may include blocking access to specific TikTok URLs through our Service;
  • Notify the user who submitted the URL (if identifiable and applicable);
  • Maintain a record of the notice in accordance with our obligations under the DMCA.

Because TakeFrom does not store content, we typically cannot "remove" the underlying media — but we can block specific URLs from being processed by our Service.

Please note that for copyright issues regarding TikTok-hosted content itself, you should also contact TikTok directly at their designated copyright reporting page.

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe that content was wrongly removed or blocked in response to a DMCA notice, you may submit a counter-notification. A valid counter-notification must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature;
  2. Identification of the content that was removed or blocked and the location where it appeared before removal;
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the content was removed or blocked as a result of a mistake or misidentification;
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court.

Send counter-notifications to the same address: dmca@takefrom.net.

5. Repeat Infringers

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, TakeFrom reserves the right to terminate access to the Service for users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.

6. Misuse of DMCA Process

Please be aware that submitting a false DMCA notice may expose you to liability for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. Only submit a notice if you have a good-faith belief that the identified content infringes your copyright.

7. Contact for Other Copyright Questions

For general copyright questions that do not require a formal DMCA notice, you can contact us at legal@takefrom.net.
